Embraer has begun taking orders for its very light and light jets. Customers can now place deposits through the company’s sales offices and obtain expected delivery dates. The VLJ is priced at $2.75 million and will enter service in 2008. The $6.65 million light jet is expected to enter service in 2009. Embraer says that it will announce the names of the new aircraft later this year.
