Non-profit air rescue organisation Deutsche Rettungsflugwacht (DRF) is to introduce the patient safety information system PaSIS, together with TuPASS, the patient safety

and simulation centre in Tubingen, Germany.

PaSIS is an anonymous reporting system that detects the cause of critical incidents that occur during rescue missions, which the company hopes will help it to identify areas that need to be improved.

The reports in this system mainly cover subjects related to the patient’s condition, but they can also describe logistics or communication between crew members.
