LR60 bridges the gap for Munich charter missions

Premium Aviation has taken delivery of a Learjet 60. The aircraft, which is owned by MTM Flugzeugvermietung, was delivered on May 27 and began executive charter operations in the first week of June from its base

in Munich.

Its main operational area will be eastern and central Europe, Africa and the Middle East. MTM spokesman Tobias Schramm said the company chose the LR60 to bridge the gap between the small and heavy jets. The company also operates a LR55, LR60 and a CL600.

The aircraft’s pilots trained at FlightSafety in Tucson, Arizona. They will fly the seven-seat jet between 600 to 800 hours per year and it will

be used exclusively for its clients’ charter missions.

Schramm said there were “no negative changes expected in the charter market for the second half of the year,” and announced plans for the company to expand its fleet further in 2006.

“Premium wants to be able to offer its clients the right jet for every mission,” he explained. “We are looking for a CL604 for our heavy jet segment and another Learjet or Citation for the small jet segment.”
