On May 15, Gulfstream’s G450 set a transatlantic city-pair speed record between Chicago and London. The aircraft took off from DuPage Airport (30 miles west of Chicago) with seven people on board, and flew the 3,550nm distance to London Luton Airport in seven hours and 19 minutes, with an average cruise speed of Mach 0.85.
