Cessna’s Citation Mustang has logged more then 36 hours, completing 19 flights since flight testing began on April 23.

To date, the aircraft has demonstrated its capability to reach speeds of up to 0.63 Mach and climb to 41,000 feet.

Cessna has also begun testing the Garmin G1000 avionics suite and the Pratt & Whitney PW615F engines.

“The Citation Mustang is off to a great start,” said Cessna chairman, president and ceo Jack Pelton. “We were able to complete first flight ahead of schedule, and during the first two weeks of flight testing we have not lost any flights due to mechanical or systems failures.”

The very light jet drew large crowds at the static display area at EBACE, where a mockup was exhibited alongside its larger cousins, including the CJ1, CJ2, CJ3, Encore, Bravo, XLS, Sovereign and Citation X.
