Satellite communications firm Satcom Direct has announced the launch of a new European-based Global One Number service. It will be based at the Land Earth Station of Burum, in the Netherlands, and will give users a single (31) country dialling code.

Satcom’s president David Greenhill hopes the service will be operational by July. He said: “This will offer European business aircraft operators a communication service without having to change dialling codes according to the ocean region in which an aircraft is flying.”
