Gulfstream V proves wise choice for management firm

International Jet Management has taken delivery of a Gulfstream V. The GV, which was certified last November, has been operating since January 11, and is the only aircraft currently managed by the company for its Russian owner.

Although it can accommodate up to 17 passengers, according to deputy flight operations manager Helga Wallner, the aeroplane is used predominantly by its owner. The rest of the time it operates taxi flights for brokers and clients in Switzerland and Moscow.

The GV is based in Vienna and flies on average 45 hours per month. It has a standard seating configuration with club seating, a table and a couch. The crew trained for the Gulfstream in Savannah and Dubai.

International Jet Management chose the GV on the owner’s behalf, but Wallner could not reveal exactly why the GV was selected over

other aircraft.

She admitted that there are plans to expand the fleet with a second similar aeroplane, but the details have not yet been finalised. Despite a great demand for charter aircraft, in this case it appears that the owner looks likely to be this Gulfstream’s most frequent flyer.
