Swiss Air Ambulance has selected Exalit electronic flight bags (EFB) for use in its fleet of Challenger 604s.

SAA project leader Cedric Gitchenko said: We looked closely at the market for a professional device to meet our needs to reduce paper and increase efficiency in the cockpit.

“Exalit’s Max-Ware EFB offers a 10.4 inch screen and XGA resolution – the best solution to display worldwide approach charts,

weight and balance calculation and almost all necessary manuals. The company was instrumental in assisting us through all phases of the certification process.”

The equipment has been designed for installation as a Class II EFB. It complies with avionics standard DO-160D and can therefore be used during all flight phases.
