Cessna’s newest mid-size long range aircraft, the Citation Sovereign, has received EASA and JAA certification, paving the way for certification and registration of the aircraft in Europe. The Sovereign also received the type certification data sheet for noise.
“We’ve collaborated very closely with EASA and JAA to ensure that the certification process went smoothly,” said senior vp of product engineering David Brant. “We are confident that
this relationship will continue to flourish as Cessna pursues other EASA certifications.”
The 12-passenger Sovereign received FAA type certification in June 2004. The aircraft has a range of 2,881nm and a service ceiling of 47,000 feet.
Cessna will be bringing a Sovereign demonstrator to display
at the Business and General
Aviation Day (BGAD), to be held
