Cega Group, the air ambulance and medical assistance operator, is enjoying a period of steady growth. The company has secured several new contracts with UK-based insurers and retailers and has expanded into new premises

at Funtingdon, whilst retaining its Goodwood Airfield base for air

ambulance operations.

The company anticipates that the demand for air ambulance and medevac flights will increase with the decline in such operations by commercial airlines, citing the demise of British Airways’ stretcher space from June as a contributing factor. Cega recently appointed Rob Bayly as coo and the group’s aviation arm – Cega Aviation – has appointed four new observer pilots to its team: Keith Hobday, Mike Ramsden, Simon Lilley and Andrew Mumford.
