Gulfstream offers broadband multi link on G550/G500
Gulfstream has received a third FAA Supplemental Type Certificate for the installation of its Broad Band Multi-Link (BBML) system in the G550 and G500 aircraft. The BBML is a satellite-based system with a data speed of up to 3.3 megabits per second. A dish antenna is mounted under the tail radome of the aircraft, and there is also an antenna control unit and transceiver router on board. Gulfstream has already received the STC for its BBML in the GIV and the GV and expects to receive another multiple STC for the G350/G450 models during the second quarter of this year.
