Luis Carlos Affonso has been appointed by Embraer as its new senior vp for corporate aviation.
He was introduced by ceo
Mauricio Botelho at the third Latin American Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (LABACE) at the beginning of April.
Having worked for Embraer for
22 years, Affonso was most recently employed as senior vp of engineering and new product development,
and was chief engineer for the
ERJ145 programme.
Perhaps hinting towards forthcoming developments in the company’s corporate aviation strategy, Affonso commented: “I am thrilled to take charge of such a vibrant segment of Embraer and feel highly motivated by the prospects of this business line. My mission is to advance Embraer’s position in the corporate jet market.”
