Cirrus Middle East and Universal Weather and Aviation have established a business aviation ground handling operation at Beirut International Airport in Lebanon.
Initially to be known as Universal/Cirrus ME, the joint enterprise will eventually operate as Universal Aviation Beirut.
It will operate ground-handling services for all business aircraft up to the B747. Initially, the operation will be located at the main passenger terminal and will then be relocated to the newly constructed General Aviation Terminal, due to open within the next few months.
Said Jonathan Howells, Universal Weather and Aviation’s regional director for Europe, Middle East and Africa: “Strategically, we chose Beirut for its thriving commerce and continued growth. It is an excellent location from which to support our many clients who operate within the region to Beirut whether for business or pleasure.”
