Following record first quarter sales in 2005 and continued growing demand for charter flights in the private leisure travel segment, Gregg Air is poised to acquire its third mid-range Embraer Legacy in early May.
The two existing Gregg Air Legacy aircraft (the largest jets in the company’s stable) currently operate across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, with a hub in Austria and headquarters in Oxford, UK.\rThe new Legacy will join an expanding fleet that includes Hawkers, Citations and Raytheon Premier I aircraft.
Commenting on the growing demand for private recreational travel, owner Paul Gregg said: “It’s fantastic to see our corporate clients and families coming back to us for recreational travel beyond that of their weekly business requirements. We see this emerging market as a key to our organisation’s growth.
“To maintain the high levels of service our clients already enjoy when business travelling, we are investing heavily in our fleet to support the leisure/pleasure traveller as well. Demand is so great that in fact we’re already planning for the arrival of a fourth Legacy later this summer.”
Gregg Air states that the spacious Legacy provides the company with the ideal range and capacity to accommodate its clients, and has received positive feedback.
With recreation a focus, the company has added a number of gadgets to entertain the whole family. There is a choice of new movies to watch on personal DVD players,
the latest Nintendo DS gaming systems and a library of the latest
best-selling novels.
