Sweden’s East Air has added a third aircraft to its fleet. The managed Citation Bravo joins a Piper Chieftain and Learjet 35, and the fleet will be expanded further with a Beechjet 400A later this year.
The company began operating the Bravo at the beginning of April and anticipates that it will perform a mixture of ad hoc charter and private flights for the owner.
“It’s quite hard to get an AOC in Sweden and the aircraft owner had planned to put the aircraft on their own AOC,” said flight operations manager Lars Österwall. “However, they ran into problems and decided to add it on to our AOC, so we are managing it. It’s a great aircraft for charter and has a nice, quiet cabin.”
The seven-seat Bravo will fly
to destinations throughout Europe, departing from its base at
Lidköping Airport.
Österwall believes that the charter market in Sweden is getting stronger, enabling East Air to further expand its fleet. “It’s growing bigger and bigger each year, and it’s good to see that it’s improving in Sweden.”
