The bimonthly news publication for aviation professionals.
flyExclusive has been named North America's Leading Private Jet Charter Company 2026 by The World Travel Awards.
The company beat five other nominees for the 2026 award: Air Charter Service, Paramount Business Jets, Privé Jets, Celebrity Jet Charter and Wheels Up Experience, which held the title in 2025.
flyExclusive is an FAA-certificated private aviation company providing charter, jet club membership and fractional ownership services worldwide. The company operates more than 80 jets, ranging from light to large cabin sizes, with full operational control over maintenance, refurbishment and avionics through its in-house MRO facilities at its headquarters in Kinston, North Carolina.
The World Travel Awards have recognised excellence in travel and tourism since 1993, and winners are chosen by vote. That means this award reflects what clients experience on every trip. Behind each flight is one connected team of pilots, technicians and client service professionals working to make private travel fit the way each client wants to fly.
“Above all else, this award belongs to our people, who work tirelessly to earn our clients' trust on every flight,” says Jim Segrave, founder, CEO and chairman of flyExclusive. “Every pilot, technician and service professional on our team knows that when clients step onto one of our jets, they are trusting us with what matters most to them, whether that's time with their family or a meeting that could shape their business. We never take that lightly. This recognition tells us our clients feel that commitment, and it pushes us to raise the bar even higher.”
flyExclusive is grateful that so many travellers have had a great experience flying with the company. For those who want that same experience more often, flyExclusive also offers jet club and fractional ownership. These programmes give clients exclusive access to private jet travel with benefits that go beyond a single trip. The business makes sure members can count on an aircraft being available when they need to fly.
The award follows another recent honour for the company. Matthew Lesmeister, flyExclusive's president of maintenance, has been named a 2026 Trailblazer by Business North Carolina at the NC Rural Economic Summit. The Trailblazer Award recognises North Carolinians under 40 who are building successful businesses while making a positive impact in communities with fewer than 100,000 residents. Lesmeister earned the honour by helping create and sustain skilled aviation jobs in Kinston, where flyExclusive has built its headquarters and maintenance operations.
