Less than a year after its debut, US fractional ownership aircraft company FlyEpic is gaining momentum with 550 completed flights and access to 1,762 airports across 11 Western states since it began service in January.
FlyEpic was founded on the idea that time is the most valuable asset. Since the company's launch, owners have used the service for regular business, leisure and family travel, replacing long drives, airport connections and nights away with direct regional flights.
“Our owners and passengers are using FlyEpic to make being there possible,” says Scott Shatzer, CEO of FlyEpic. “The West is full of places that look close on a map but aren't always easy to reach. When you can leave on your schedule, land closer to where you're going and get home the same day, you're not just changing how you travel. You're getting hours of your life back.”
Among FlyEpic's most popular routes and destinations during its first six months were flights from the San Francisco Bay Area to Casper, Wyoming; Spokane, Washington; Colorado Springs, Colorado; Prescott, Arizona and Costa Mesa, California.
By exclusively utilising the Epic E1000 aircraft, FlyEpic has the flexibility to serve both major destinations and smaller airports that larger jets often can't reach. Built in Bend, Oregon, the carbon-fibre turboprops can travel up to 1,200 nm, making them an ideal option for regional trips. Onboard amenities include adjustable polarised windows, Starlink wi-fi and generous legroom, creating an environment where passengers can work, stay connected or simply enjoy the journey.
“Our owners don't want a flashier version of their lives. They want their actual lives to work better,” comments Tanya Eves, founder of FlyEpic. “That's what ‘Smart is the New Luxury’ means to us. Travelling with FlyEpic makes more things possible, rather than having logistics take more time out of the day.”
As the busy holiday season approaches, FlyEpic offers an alternative way to navigate one of the most challenging times of year for travel. Bypassing major commercial hubs can make destinations that are difficult to reach during peak travel periods far more practical.
FlyEpic's fractional ownership programme begins at 25 flight hours, with additional options for 1/16 ownership at 50 annual flight hours, while 1/8 and 1/4 shares are also available. FlyEpic manages pilots, maintenance, insurance, scheduling and aircraft operations, giving owners access to private flight without the day-to-day responsibilities of managing an aircraft.
