Incoming COO Jackson expects to help King thrive
Sam Jackson brings more than 20 years of progressive aviation leadership experience to the King Aerospace role, with a strong track record of advancing strategic vision, operational excellence and financial performance.
Jackson is establishing how to grow the business.

King Aerospace, the modification and maintenance support company, has appointed noted aviation industry veteran Sam Jackson as chief operations officer.

As COO, Jackson will align King Aerospace's operations and servant leadership-centred culture with the company's strategic objectives, driving performance across multiple sites while further strengthening the company's deep operational credibility in both government/military and corporate aviation markets.

“Sam is a tremendous addition to the King Aerospace leadership team,” says King Aerospace president Jarid King. “He brings the operational discipline, industry insight and people-first leadership that are essential as we continue evolving the company for its next chapter of growth in the special missions, maintenance and VVIP segments.”

Jackson brings more than 20 years of progressive aviation leadership experience to the role, with a strong track record of advancing strategic vision, operational excellence and sustainable financial performance across the MRO sector. He says he was drawn to King Aerospace by the company's values, reputation and future potential.

“This company has a rare combination of technical skill, mission focus and servant leadership that creates a powerful foundation for growth,” he enthuses. “My role is to close the gap between where we are and where we want to be, and help our people continue delivering at the highest level. That is what fuels me and inspires me.”

Prior to joining King Aerospace, Jackson served as general manager and vice president of operations at Airborne Maintenance & Engineering Services, where he oversaw approximately 800 personnel across maintenance, engineering, materials and quality functions. He also previously served as vice president of maintenance at Flightstar Aircraft Services and director of maintenance at HAECO Americas.

Jackson emphasised his early focus at King Aerospace has been on building strong relationships across the organisation and working closely with leaders and team members to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency and alignment.

“My first priority has been to gain a clear understanding of where King Aerospace has the greatest opportunity to grow,” he continues. “The insight of our people is essential to identifying both our strengths and the areas where we can improve. From there, we can align around a shared vision and continue building a stronger, more agile organisation.”

Jackson is a licensed airframe and powerplant technician who began his aviation career as a jet engine mechanic in the US Marine Corps.
