Life Link III has named Shane Farmer as its next president and chief executive officer, effective 31 July 2026.
Farmer takes over the US not‑for‑profit aeromedical transport provider with more than 25 years of experience in patient care, healthcare operations and executive leadership. He began his career as a flight paramedic serving children's hospitals, an experience that shaped his focus on patient access, healthcare quality, safety and equity. He has since held executive leadership roles with PHI Air Medical, Air Methods Corporation, Intuitive Health and CSI Aviation, overseeing complex healthcare operations while driving improvements in financial performance, clinical growth, quality, patient safety and workforce engagement.
Farmer, president and chief executive officer, says: “I am honoured to join Life Link III, an organisation with a remarkable legacy of excellence, innovation and service. As president and CEO, Farmer will work with Life Link III's board of directors and its nine‑member health systems to strengthen regional access to care and advance the organisation's strategic priorities. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, and holds a Doctor of Healthcare Administration and Master of Healthcare Administration from Oklahoma State University. He is also a published healthcare textbook author and editor.
