AutoFlight gains Indonesian approval for cargo eVTOL
The V2000CG CarryAll certification has cleared commercial operations in Indonesia and created a platform for wider deployment across Southeast Asia.
The V2000CG combines a two-ton payload class with runway-free operations.

Shanghai Autoflight's V2000CG CarryAll has become the first eVTOL aircraft to receive overseas type certificate validation after securing a Validated Type Certificate (VTC) from Indonesia's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

The certificate, formally issued on 3 June 2026, confirms the aircraft complies with the airworthiness requirements of both Indonesia and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), allowing commercial operations to begin in the Indonesian market.

The V2000CG, a cargo variant of AutoFlight's Prosperity passenger eVTOL, first received its CAAC Type Certificate in March 2024. AutoFlight submitted its Indonesian validation application in July 2025, beginning a process that included comparative reviews of airworthiness standards, technical consultations, documentation assessments and inspections in China by Indonesian authorities.

Indonesia's geography presents a significant opportunity for the aircraft. With more than 17,000 islands spread across the archipelago, logistics networks often depend on slow maritime transport or costly runway-based aviation infrastructure.

With a maximum take-off weight of 2,000 kg, a cruise speed of 200 km/h and a range of 200 km, the fully electric V2000CG can take off and land vertically without runways. The aircraft is intended for inter-island transport of high-value cargo including fresh produce, pharmaceuticals and emergency supplies.

The V2000CG remains the only ton-class eVTOL to hold the full set of CAAC airworthiness approvals, including a Type Certificate (TC), Production Certificate (PC) and Airworthiness Certificate (AC). The aircraft has already completed offshore logistics, island resupply and emergency response missions in China.

The Indonesian validation creates a pathway from certification to commercial deployment in Southeast Asia and supports AutoFlight's wider international growth strategy.
