Weststar covers Indonesia energy ops using AW139
The transaction underscores the continued demand for modern, medium twin-engine helicopters capable of supporting complex offshore transportation missions in the Asia Pacific region.
The successful execution of this purchase and leaseback reflects the type of creative and relationship-driven transactions that Aerius Leasing is focused on delivering globally.

Malaysia-headquartered rotary operator Weststar Aviation Services is working with Aerius Leasing, a Singapore-based aircraft leasing and aviation finance company, on a purchase and leaseback transaction involving a Leonardo AW139 helicopter to support offshore energy operations in Indonesia.

The aircraft was purchased from and will be operated by sister company PT Weststar Aviation Indonesia in support of ENI's offshore oil and gas activities in Indonesia. The transaction further underscores the continued demand for modern, medium twin-engine helicopters capable of supporting complex offshore transportation missions in the Asia Pacific region.

Syed Azni, executive director of Weststar Aviation Services, comments: “We are pleased to partner with Aerius Leasing on this important transaction supporting ENI's operations in Indonesia. The AW139 continues to demonstrate its value as one of the most capable and reliable platforms in the offshore sector, and we look forward to continuing to support our customers with safe and dependable operations across the region.”

Sameer Rehman and Chris Lloyd, managing partners of Aerius Leasing, add: “This transaction represents another important milestone for Aerius Leasing as we continue to expand our presence in the global helicopter leasing market. Indonesia remains a crucially important offshore market, and we are proud to support critical energy infrastructure through the placement of high-quality assets with strong operating partners. The successful execution of this purchase and leaseback reflects the type of creative and relationship-driven transactions that Aerius Leasing is focused on delivering globally. We are particularly pleased to work alongside Weststar Aviation Services and appreciate the support and collaboration of Invested Bank and its stellar team in successfully executing this transaction.”
