Aircraft delivery values rise on stronger business jet shipments
Business jet deliveries have accelerated during Q1 2026 as overall aeroplane shipment values have risen sharply year-on-year.

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) has published its first quarter 2026 General Aviation Aircraft Shipment and Billing Report, with business jet deliveries and overall aircraft shipment values increasing compared with the same period last year.

Piston aeroplane shipments rose 6.4% year-on-year to 381 aircraft during the first three months of 2026, while business jet deliveries increased 14.9% to 162 units. Turboprop deliveries declined 3.1% to 124 aircraft.

The value of aeroplane deliveries reached $6.1 billion during the quarter, representing a 19.1% increase compared with the first quarter of 2025.

In the helicopter market, piston helicopter shipments fell by seven aircraft to 47 units, while turbine helicopter deliveries decreased 9.0% to 121 units.

Civil-commercial helicopter deliveries generated $789 million in value during the first quarter.
