Noemi Aerospace has broadened its long-term strategy beyond the development of its fully electric amphibious passenger aircraft, outlining plans to adapt the platform for a wider range of commercial, government and dual-use applications.
The company says the expanded approach builds on proprietary work spanning aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, composite structures and propulsion integration, allowing future aircraft variants to share common architecture and certification pathways.
“Noemi was always designed as more than a single aircraft,” says Eric Lithun, founder and CEO of Noemi Aerospace. “We are building a platform that can evolve over time and address multiple markets while leveraging shared technology, engineering and certification pathways.”
Potential future applications under evaluation include land-based commuter operations, cargo transport, search and rescue, skydiving, aerial firefighting and military dual-use missions.
While the fully electric amphibious aircraft remains the company’s core business case, Noemi also outlined a broader propulsion roadmap that could include hybrid-electric and conventional fuel-based configurations where additional range, payload or operational flexibility are required.
Alongside the strategy update, the company confirmed completion of its preliminary design review, continued prototype development and propulsion testing activities, as well as ongoing work under its Pre-Application Contract agreement with European Union Aviation Safety Agency.
