Gulfstream boosts sales team with prime candidates
Thomas Verbeeck, Matt Baer, Justin Gaeta, Pedro Ruiz and Luiz Alves have been offered substantial roles within the Gulfstream web. The appointments cover North and Latin America with the aim to enhance sales.

Gulfstream Aerospace is making strategic sales team appointments and promotions to further support growing demand across the Americas.

In North America, Thomas Verbeeck has been promoted to regional vice president of sales for the newly created mid-south territory, encompassing Alabama, north Florida and Tennessee. The establishment of this new territory enhances customer focus and support across the region. Verbeeck joined Gulfstream in 2021 as a sales engineer, providing technical guidance to the sales team. More recently, he served as regional sales manager for multiple territories in the central United States.

Additionally, Matt Baer has been appointed regional vice president of sales for northern California, Arizona and Oregon, replacing Wayne Oedewaldt who has announced his retirement after serving 25 years on Gulfstream's sales team. Baer joined Gulfstream in 2019 as a regional sales manager and most recently served as regional vice president of sales for northeast United States and east Canada. With Baer's move, Justin Gaeta has been promoted to regional vice president of sales for northeast United States and east Canada. Gaeta joined Gulfstream in 2021 as a regional sales manager for southeast and mid-Atlantic United States and Florida.

“Wayne's dedication has been integral to the continued growth of our fleet, and we wish him well in his retirement,” says Scott Neal, senior vice president, worldwide sales, Gulfstream. “Matt and Justin are established leaders, and their experience is well suited for their new roles. In addition, creating the mid-south sales territory supports the strong demand we are experiencing in North America, and Thomas' expertise and leadership are increasingly valuable as we intentionally position ourselves to best serve customers in the region.”

Two additional sales team promotions in Latin America also address increased customer momentum. Pedro Ruiz has been named vice president of sales for Latin America, and Luiz Alves has been appointed regional vice president of sales for South America.

Ruiz joined Gulfstream in 2007 as a manufacturing technical specialist on the Gulfstream G450 and Gulfstream G550 programmes and went on to hold multiple roles of increasing responsibility in continuous improvement throughout the organisation. Most recently, he served as the regional vice president of new aircraft sales for South America. Alves has more than 20 years of experience in aircraft sales and joined Gulfstream in 2017 as a regional sales manager for Brazil. He previously served as regional sales manager for Latin America.

“Demand in Latin and South America is surging, and these promotions allow us to ensure regional alignment, visibility and exceptional support for customers there,” continues Neal. “Pedro and Luiz have been instrumental in expanding Gulfstream's market share in the region, and we look forward to their continued leadership in their new roles.”
