AirTaxi Express opts for IFR Tecnam P2006T NG
The Tecnam P2006T NG stands out as a cost-efficient twin-engine aircraft for commercial IFR flights. For AirTaxi Express, these low operating costs translate directly into affordable ticket prices for guests.
Peter Knappertsbusch, CEO of AirTaxi Express, says the aircraft offers unbeatable value.

To support the growing demand for accessible, fast and affordable regional travel, AirTaxi Express of Germany has selected the twin-engine Tecnam P2006T NG for its commercial IFR operations across Europe.

AirTaxi Express initially launched its successful air taxi operations in Germany utilising a VFR ultralight Tecnam P92 Echo MKII. Driven by market demand, the company is now expanding its capabilities with the P2006T NG, which will be operated under a German AOC. This milestone upgrade enables AirTaxi Express to offer reliable, all-weather IFR flights to its customers throughout the European continent.

The Tecnam P2006T NG stands out as the most cost-efficient twin-engine aircraft on the market for commercial IFR flights. For AirTaxi Express, these exceptionally low operating costs translate directly into affordable ticket prices for guests. Flying with the P2006T instead of using conventional modes of travel, such as trains or cars, will save passengers approximately 70 per cent in travel time.

Additionally, the aircraft features a comfortable, spacious interior with easy entry access, ensuring a premium passenger experience. Operationally, the P2006T is a highly recognised platform within the aviation community, meaning a vast pool of pilots have already completed their multi-engine training on the aircraft, streamlining recruitment and crew integration for the operator.

“Travel for the price of a taxi, but faster,” says Peter Knappertsbusch, CEO of AirTaxi Express. “The Tecnam P2006T NG is the perfect aircraft to make this vision a reality across Europe. Its unbeatable economics and passenger comfort allow us to provide a highly competitive and efficient alternative to traditional ground transportation.”

Pasquale De Rosa, Tecnam's Europe sales manager, adds: “We are thrilled to see AirTaxi Express grow its business with Tecnam. Transitioning from the single-engine P92 to the multi-engine P2006T NG perfectly demonstrates how our versatile product line can seamlessly support an operator's evolution. The P2006T NG is the ideal platform for modern air taxi operations, offering unmatched economics, safety and the reliability required for rigorous AOC IFR operations in Europe.”
