Copter Club is opening a new professional helicopter flight school in Perpignan, in the south of France near the Spanish border. The new training centre aims to welcome both French and international students seeking EASA-compliant helicopter training.
Training is conducted on Robinson R44 and Airbus AS350 helicopters, two aircraft widely used in commercial helicopter operations such as passenger transport, aerial work and surveillance missions. Copter Club offers a full range of EASA training programmes including Private Pilot Licence Helicopter (PPL-H), Commercial Pilot Licence Helicopter (CPL-H), Airline Transport Pilot Licence Helicopter (ATPL-H) theoretical training, as well as EASA type ratings.
Director Dorian Tissier says: “Courses are available in both French and English in order to accommodate students from across Europe and beyond. In addition to initial pilot training, the school will also offer recurrent training and proficiency programmes for professional helicopter crews seeking to maintain or enhance their operational competencies.
“Located in southern France, Copter Club aims to position itself as a key rotorcraft training centre serving the wider European helicopter industry.”
