Adventure Pilot has released version 14 of its iFly EFB electronic flight bag, introducing updates centred on visual clarity, system performance and in-flight awareness.
A high-resolution satellite imagery layer has been added, giving pilots greater visual context for terrain, landmarks and route planning. This sits alongside a new raster map layer and updated navigation charts, which together provide clearer and more detailed mapping across all phases of flight.
A graphics engine upgrade improves rendering speed, responsiveness and overall stability across supported devices. The update also expands audio callouts to cover a wider range of alerts, reducing the need for pilots to divert attention from the cockpit during critical moments.
“We focused this release on what pilots actually see and use in the cockpit,” says Juanita Boyd, VP of operations at Adventure Pilot. “Better visuals, faster performance and clearer alerts; those are the things that make a real difference in flight.”
Further updates include improved reliability for flight plan filing and briefing, enhanced Nexrad animation, support for future-dated and multiple flight plan submissions, and refined traffic display behaviour and alert handling.
The iFly EFB platform remains available across Android, iOS and Windows devices, with version 14 now accessible via the Adventure Pilot website.
