Janine K. Iannarelli has been re-elected as chair of the European Business Aviation Association’s Associate Member Advisory Council following the organisation’s annual general assembly in Brussels.
The decision comes as EBAA implements governance changes, including revising its articles of association to grant associate members full membership status and voting rights. The board will also expand, adding four seats for non-operator representatives.
Iannarelli contributed to the working group behind the restructuring, which was approved during the meeting, and will continue to represent the AMAC community on the board of governors.
Juergen Wiese, EBAA chairman, says: “I am very happy that Janine will continue in her role of representing the large AMAC community on the EBAA board of governors and provide important guidance paired with transparency and continuity during this transition period.”
A member of EBAA since the early 1990s, Iannarelli has been active in AMAC since its formation and chaired its sales and acquisition committee from 2017 after joining in 2016.
“It is an honour to have been asked to continue in my role as the chair of the EBAA's AMAC and to offer my voice and support to the membership. I look forward to continuing to advocate for business aviation for it is an essential part of the entire aviation ecosystem,” says Iannarelli.
Stefan Benz, EBAA CEO, adds: “I am very pleased to see Janine re-elected to the board of governors and would like to express my sincere appreciation for her continued commitment to EBAA. Her contribution as AMAC chair has played an important role in strengthening member engagement during an important period of transition. This new era in EBAA will reinforce the voice of business aviation in Europe, and having Janine on the board ensures strong continuity, experience and commitment as we move forward.”
