The Air Charter Association has appointed Claudia Schimansky as training manager to lead the launch of its new Air Charter Essentials course. Designed for both members and non-members, the course offers a thorough introduction to the air charter industry for new starters or those looking to begin a career in charter aviation.

Schimansky, who has three decades of aviation experience, began her career as cabin crew with European Aviation Air Charter before joining broker Air Partner. She has since held senior roles in brokerage, leadership and training across the UK, Germany, Italy, France and the UAE. She joins existing team member Julie Ellis, who has been promoted to head of training.

“I am pleased to join the well-respected training team at The ACA,” says Schimansky. “Sharing knowledge, strengthening industry skills and contributing to the development of future aviation talent has been a key focus of mine.”

Chief executive Glenn Hogben adds: “Her extensive background and expertise will be a great asset as we expand our training offering.”

The ACA will hold three Air Charter Essentials courses in 2026: 4 March and 14 October in London, and 21 April in Friedrichshafen. A discounted rate is available for under-25s and members, subsidised by The ACA.
