Nolinor deploys SkyTrac TrooTrax Mission for OCC tracking
The airline becomes the first in Canada to deploy the technology, expanding on a partnership with SkyTrac dating back to 2010.
TrooTrax Mission provides real-time alerts for overdue aircraft, abnormal events and flight path deviations.

Nolinor Aviation has introduced SkyTrac Systems’ TrooTrax Mission flight following and aircraft tracking solution into its operational control centre, reinforcing its alignment with ICAO’s Global Aeronautical Distress and Safety System (GADSS) guidance.

The carrier is the first Canadian airline to deploy the upgraded TrooTrax Mission software, which combines one-minute ADS-B and 15-minute Iridium tracking with advanced tools for flight plan ingestion, abnormal event alerts and deviation monitoring.

Nolinor has used SkyTrac’s tracking systems since 2010, well before ICAO mandates were introduced. The rollout of TrooTrax Mission now delivers further operational insight while supporting compliance with current and future regulatory frameworks.

“As an operator with a longstanding commitment to safety, adopting TrooTrax Mission is a natural progression for our operations,” says Nolinor’s vice president of operations Yves Bergeron. “This approach reflects our continuous investment in modernising our fleet, including our Boeing 737-200 aircraft.”

SkyTrac’s director of business development and GADSS specialist Ruben Stepin adds: “Nolinor demonstrates how enhanced aircraft tracking and efficient flight following can support alignment with evolving GADSS direction.”
