US-based zero-emission mobility operator UrbanLink has signed a memorandum of understanding with Elfly Group covering a soft order for 10 Noemi aircraft, with an option for 10 more. The agreement carries a potential order value of around USD 200 million. UrbanLink plans to launch an integrated transport network combining air, sea and ground services, starting in Miami, Los Angeles and San Juan.
“Noemi fits naturally into our vision for clean, connected regional mobility,” says Ed Wegel, founder and CEO of UrbanLink. “Its amphibious capability and electric propulsion make it a compelling and efficient solution for linking coastal and island communities.”
Elfly’s Noemi aircraft is an all-electric amphibious design that can operate from both land runways and water surfaces, enabling access to coastlines, lakes and harbours with minimal infrastructure.
“UrbanLink represents exactly the kind of forward-leaning operator we want to partner with,” says Eric Lithun, founder and CEO of Elfly Group. “This MoU underlines growing market confidence in Noemi and the international commercial momentum we are building as we commence full-scale prototype development. Florida is a perfect starting point, with its extensive coastlines, islands and waterways.”
