TCab Tech completes first manned flight of E20
A manned test flight was carried out by TCab Tech’s chief pilot with CEO Yon Wui Ng on board, verifying system reliability and safety as the company progresses through its R&D phase.
The E20’s first manned flight marked a key milestone in TCab Tech’s certification journey.

Shanghai TCab Technology has completed the first manned flight test of its E20 eVTOL aircraft. The test was conducted by the company’s chief test pilot, with founder and CEO Yon Wui Ng on board.

The test demonstrated TCab Tech’s confidence in the aircraft and verified the reliability of its systems. The company plans to continue with additional flight tests and airworthiness certification in line with its development schedule.

“The test flight was overall very smooth. Sitting inside the cabin, the noise was much lower than a helicopter. It was a proud and exciting moment to ride in an eVTOL developed and manufactured by our own team. I kept filming with my phone throughout; an unforgettable experience,” says Yon, founder and CEO of TCab Tech.

TCab Tech says the successful manned flight reinforces its position in the global eVTOL industry as it continues to pursue a safe, efficient and sustainable Chinese solution for urban air mobility.
