Starlink connectivity expands to Longitude after FAA approval
Textron Aviation offers Starlink’s LEO-based internet as an aftermarket option for the Citation Longitude fleet after AeroMech secures FAA certification for its supplemental type certificate.
Starlink’s satellite network will boost in-flight connectivity for Longitude passengers.

Textron Aviation has expanded its in-flight connectivity options for the Cessna Citation Longitude after the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued AeroMech’s supplemental type certificate (STC) for Starlink high-speed internet. The solution relies on Starlink’s Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network to maintain consistent coverage across land, ocean and remote locations where standard Wi-Fi can be unreliable.

“With Starlink now available as an aftermarket option for Longitude customers, they can enjoy high-speed, reliable connectivity that keeps them productive and connected throughout their flight,” says Brian Rohloff, senior vice president, customer support at Textron Aviation. “The Cessna Citation Longitude already delivers an exceptional experience with its quiet cabin, extended range and advanced avionics. Adding Starlink elevates that experience even further, helping customers stay focused on their mission without compromising on connectivity.”

The upgrade can be installed at Textron Aviation service centres across North America and select international sites. AeroMech’s STC incorporates a Starlink aviation kit comprising an antenna, power supply unit and wireless access point, requiring only aircraft power input.
