Japan Aviation Service Co has made a bold move to invest approximately USD 700,000 in ground support equipment including a tow tractor, lavatory and water service truck, passenger step, belt loader, towing tug and baggage car. This decision was made due to an increasing number of incidents where JAS could not fully rely on the GSE rental services from third-party vendors who were suffering severe labour shortage. Now, JAS is free from such worries and can fully utilise its own GSE to provide seamless, efficient and reliable ground handling services to its clients at Tokyo International airport.

Meanwhile, JAS continues to thrive as Japan's leading ground handling service provider, enhanced by its IS-BAH accreditation, which it was awarded in May of this year. JAS is proud be the first ground handling company in Japan to reach this globally recognised standard of safety and operational excellence. The IS- BAH accreditation demonstrates JAS's commitment to implementing international best practices in business aviation ground operations, ensuring the highest levels of safety, professionalism and customer care across all five bases in Japan, namely Tokyo, Narita, Kansai, New Chitose and Naha.

“Achieving IS-BAH accreditation is a major milestone not only for JAS but also for Japan's business aviation industry,” says Tomoyoshi Tsuchiya, chairman of JAS. “With our new GSE and continued focus on safety and service quality, we are ready to support the growing needs of global operators in Japan.”
