Cunningham Aviation has acquired the assets of Avflight Mesa Corporation in a strategic move that establishes the company as the exclusive full-service FBO at Falcon Field airport in Mesa, Arizona. This acquisition enhances operational efficiency, expands service capabilities and reinforces Cunningham's commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences in the general aviation sector.

With this transition, all FBO operations will be unified under the Cunningham Aviation brand, offering customers a consistent, streamlined experience, from ramp service to front desk and fuelling. The integration of experienced personnel from the Avflight Mesa operation further strengthens both front-line and line service teams, ensuring operational excellence across every touchpoint.

“We're excited to bring the Avflight Mesa operation into the Cunningham Aviation family,” says George Cunningham, president of Cunningham Aviation. “This asset acquisition is an important milestone that allows us to better serve the needs of the growing general aviation community at Falcon Field while preserving the personalised service that defines our family-owned business.”

As part of the acquisition, Cunningham Aviation is transitioning to Avfuel as its new fuel supplier, providing expanded fuel programmes, pricing incentives and national brand recognition. The ramp space has also doubled, increasing capacity for both transient and based aircraft with improved parking, faster turnarounds and expanded resources.

“We're not just expanding our footprint, we're investing in people, technology and partnerships that elevate the customer experience,” notes Cameron Loftis, FBO director at Cunningham Aviation. “Our new X-1FBO point-of-sale system will streamline operations and enhance transparency for our customers, and our expanded team is ready to deliver top-tier service across the board.”

Key highlights of the acquisition include: exclusive FBO operations at KFFZ, establishing Cunningham as the sole full-service FBO at Falcon Field; unified brand experience – all services now operate under the Cunningham Aviation name, creating consistent branding and service standards; expanded team – integration of experienced personnel from the Avflight Mesa operation enhances operational capacity and customer support; technology investment – implementation of the X-1FBO system improves transparency, billing accuracy and operational efficiency; ramp expansion – ramp space has doubled, allowing for greater aircraft capacity and improved service times; fuel partnership with Avfuel – transitioning to Avfuel enables access to industry-leading fuel programmes and loyalty rewards; community commitment – Cunningham remains deeply rooted in Mesa and dedicated to supporting the broader aviation community; and a seamless transition for Avflight customers – customers can expect uninterrupted service, with added benefits from Cunningham's customer-first approach.

Cunningham Aviation isn't just meeting expectations, it's setting a new standard in growth and service,” states Crystal Kubeczka, president of Paragon Aviation Group, the international network of independent audited FBOs and handling agents that Cunningham joined earlier this year. “Its acquisition of Avflight Mesa's assets and decision to join the Paragon Network reflect bold and strategic leadership. It's a powerful example of how an FBO can accelerate growth and innovation while remaining deeply connected to the community it serves.”
