Jets MRO has tripled its workforce following the expansion of its full FAA Part 145 capabilities. The dramatic expansion validates the company's founding principle of ‘putting the mechanic first’ and demonstrates how prioritising people can drive business growth in the competitive aviation maintenance sector.
The workforce expansion comes as Jets MRO leverages its people-first culture as a primary competitive advantage in recruiting skilled aviation technicians, a traditionally challenging area for the industry. While many organisations struggle to attract and retain qualified mechanics, Jets MRO's commitment to technician welfare has made recruitment one of its greatest strengths.
This workforce growth is having a large positive economic impact in the South Dallas region with Jets MRO already the largest employer at Dallas Executive airport.
“Our approach has always been simple: take care of your people, and they'll take care of your customers,” says Suresh Narayanan, chief executive officer of Jets MRO. “This philosophy isn't just about doing the right thing; it's proven to be our most effective business strategy. When you put mechanics first, word spreads in the aviation community, and the best talent wants to work with you. Our people produce the product that keeps aircraft in the air, so we must listen to them more. We are showing that by keeping a focus on your people, you can deliver on-time performance, which is key.”
The company's growth trajectory accelerated significantly earlier this year upon receiving its full FAA Part 145 repair station certificate, which authorises Jets MRO to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and alterations on aircraft and aircraft components. This certification, combined with the expanded technical team, positions Jets MRO to serve a broader range of business jet operators with a specialised focus on Citation 500 series and 750 jets, Bombardier Challenger 300/600 series jets, and Bombardier Learjet 45 aircraft.
Supporting this operational expansion, Jets MRO has assembled a leadership team with more than 100 years of combined aviation experience. This seasoned management group reinforces the company's people-first philosophy while bringing deep industry expertise to deliver aircraft on time.
“Experience matters in aviation, both in the hangar and in leadership,” continues Narayanan. “Our leadership team understands that exceptional maintenance starts with exceptional people. We've built our entire operation around supporting our technicians because we know that's what ultimately serves our customers best.”
The aviation maintenance industry has long faced challenges in workforce development and retention, making Jets MRO's recruitment success particularly noteworthy. This challenge has been a key driver in lack of on time performance for aircraft in maintenance. Industry analysts point to the company's approach as a model for addressing widespread technician shortages that have impacted the broader aviation sector.
The company plans to continue its expansion while maintaining its core values and commitment to technician-focused operations. With its enhanced FAA certifications and growing workforce, Jets MRO is positioned to serve growing market demand while setting new standards for how aviation maintenance companies can successfully scale through people-first practices.
