Southwest Aerospace Technologies (S.W.A.T.) has completed the relocation of its corporate and administrative offices to a new facility at Georgetown Executive airport (KGTU) in Texas. The company’s 12,000 square foot maintenance hangar has been fully operational for several months, while work on office and adjacent areas was being completed.
The expansion enhances S.W.A.T.’s service offerings by enabling the operation of full-service aircraft MRO. The facility allows on-site execution of aircraft inspections, routine and unscheduled maintenance, aircraft modifications or upgrades, and engine removal and replacement.
“We are very excited that our new MRO is open for business,” says Kurt Encinias, president and CEO of S.W.A.T. “The expansion of our maintenance capabilities allows us to provide customers with the full range of services to meet all their maintenance needs. We have the capacity on-site to perform aircraft inspections, routine maintenance, unscheduled maintenance and aircraft modifications or upgrades, as well as engine removal and replacement. We look forward to welcoming customers to our facility.”
S.W.A.T. operates an FAA, EASA, CAA and TCCA certified Part 145 repair station in east Georgetown, alongside its warehouse and parts and components inventory, and is one of only a few authorised Starlink distributors in Texas.
In December, S.W.A.T. signed a long-term lease agreement with the City of Georgetown for the hangar and adjacent space, which together total 41,000 square feet, a large footprint that supports the company’s ongoing strategic expansion.
Encinias adds: “Expanding our facilities along with our capabilities allows us to provide customers with more extensive maintenance support as well as help position us for continued growth.”
A grand opening of the facility is planned for 9 July.
