Northern Jet has appointed Matt Taylor as its new chief pilot. Based in Orlando, Florida, the charter operator says the move supports its focus on operational excellence and high-performance aviation.
Taylor has more than 20 years of aviation experience, including over 10 years in flight operations leadership. He served in the US Air Force for over 25 years as a pilot, instructor and operations manager, and has flown Part 91 and Part 135 missions in aircraft including the CJ3 and XLS+, both of which are part of Northern Jet’s fleet.
“Matt Taylor is an accomplished aviator and respected leader who shares Northern Jet’s commitment to safety, precision and pilot development,” says CEO Chris Bull. “As our fleet grows and we expand our services, Matt’s leadership will ensure we continue to meet the highest standards in training, performance and service delivery.”
Taylor will oversee all flight operations and pilot programmes across the company’s Grand Rapids, Orlando and Naples bases. He holds ATP, CFI, commercial and remote pilot FAA certifications, with type ratings in multiple aircraft.
He is known for his calm leadership and focus on safety and crew culture, and has held leadership roles in both private and commercial aviation.
