FAA grants MT-Propeller STC for Cessna 414A prop
The long time proven MT-Propeller natural composite blades provide significant inside and outside noise reduction. They have no life limitation and are repairable in case of a FOD. Performance improvements abound.
The long time proven MT-Propeller natural composite blades provide significant inside and outside noise reduction.

MT-Propeller has received STC from the FAA for the installation of the four-blade natural composite propeller MTV-14-D-C-F/CF188-30() on Cessna 414A series aircraft with or without RAM IV and VII powered by the TSIO-520-N or -NB or TSIO-520-NB engines. This installation is also supplemental type certified by EASA.

MT-Propeller vice president Martin Albrecht says the installation has the following advantages: “Shorter take-off distance by approximately six per cent; enhanced climb by between five and eight per cent; cruise performance increased by approximately three to five kts, depending on altitude and power setting; and approximately 20 lbs less weight than the original propellers.”

The long time proven MT-Propeller natural composite blades provide significant inside and outside noise reduction. They have no life limitation and are repairable in case of a FOD. They also provide best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation and have bonded on stainless steel leading edges for best erosion protection of the blades.

MT-Propeller is the world leading natural composite propeller manufacturer with 30 propeller models from two-blade to seven-blade hydraulically controlled variable pitch propellers for engines producing up to 5,000hp, and two-blade to four-blade electrically controlled variable pitch propellers for engines producing up to 350hp as well as two blade fixed pitch propellers.

The high performance, light weight and durable MT-Propellers can be used on aircraft with piston engines and propeller turbines, as well as on airships, wind tunnels or hovercraft. MT-Propellers can be developed for nearly every aircraft type from motor gliders to regional airliners.

Fulfilling the highest certifications requirements, they are also supplemental type certified on Part 25 aircraft.

MT-Propeller is the holder of over 230 STCs worldwide and the OEM supplier for more than 90 per cent of the European aircraft industry as well as 30 per cent of the US aircraft industry. More than 33,000 propeller systems with more than 115,000 blades are in service, and 180 million fleet hours have been performed on MT-Propellers. With the longest industry TBO of 4,500 hours or six years for the five-bladed turbo prop MT-Propeller has proven the reliability of its products over the years. A factory certified network of 62 service centres provides service and maintenance all over the world.
