Jung Sky rolls up its sleeves for a busy summer
Last summer, the Jung Sky team received a little over 41,000 inquiries from June to September just through Avinode. Three years ago, they had 19,091 requests just in July. 2025 could well be another hectic one.

The sales department of the Croatian jet charter operator Jung Sky is more than ready for yet another peaking summer season, says head of department Ivan Jakovac.

“The team is focused and confident, and I must say we’ve been eagerly awaiting that very familiar pre-summer rush and momentum. Along with the rest of our departments, especially our pilots and our operational control centre (OCC), who are essentially the brains behind all our flights, we’re ready for that traditional summer surge in flight requests. Of course, our goal is not to simply break records in the number of emails we reply to, but to win flights, to support and help our dear brokers with their missions and to provide exceptional service all the way, from the initial inquiry to the moment the passengers shake hands with our pilots after the flight,” he says.

The task of handling the summer demand will most certainly be a demanding one, as it is every year. Last summer, the team received a little over 41,000 inquiries from June to September just through Avinode. Three years ago, they had 19,091 requests just in July. “If the pace in 2025 continues, and all signs say it will, we’ll hit the 30,000 mark this year in June and July alone,” Jakovac anticipates. “It’s rewarding to see that both brokers and passengers value our services and continue to book us year after year. Many of them often say it’s a real shame we don’t have more jets, and looking at these numbers I couldn’t agree more.”

Peaking demand is not the only major challenge in the summer. Air traffic congestion across Europe, slot issues at major hubs and popular summer destinations, tight parking and slow fuel turnarounds at some airports are just to name a few. This year, fuel turnaround will become an even bigger issue with the new ReFuelEU regulation.

“Battling those challenges and potential complications starts with the excellent relationships we have with our clients and with deep understanding of how the market works in specific and challenging times. Of course, minimising disruption for our passengers is job one, but here I would again spotlight the expertise of our pilots, which is very often credited by our brokers, and the magnificent work of Jung Sky’s OCC. Their support is crucial. They provide fast, accurate, detailed information so that we can respond to brokers with tailored offers and solutions in the shortest possible time. The feedback we have been receiving every summer tells us we’re on the right track,” concludes Jakovac.
