UrbanV and Signature Aviation have entered a joint venture to support the rollout of vertiport networks across Florida, New York, California and Texas. The partnership combines UrbanV’s vertiport infrastructure knowledge with Signature’s experience operating private aviation terminals.
The companies will begin with economic viability and technical feasibility studies to evaluate potential sites and ensure successful deployment. These will cover network planning, infrastructure design, demand and integration with existing operations.
Signature will lead efforts to integrate vertiports into its terminal network and advance regulatory engagement. Together they will explore partnerships with AAM operators and site owners to help build a workable ecosystem.
UrbanV CEO Carlo Tursi says: “This joint venture agreement is a major step in the development of AAM infrastructure for the United States. We have the ambition to become a major global operator of vertiport networks and we will pioneer the establishment of some of the first AAM routes. By leveraging UrbanV's expertise in vertiport development and Signature Aviation's established network of private aviation terminals, we are laying the foundations for seamless, efficient and sustainable short-distance aerial transport in the United States.”
Signature Aviation CEO Tony Lefebvre adds: “Our partnership with UrbanV elevates our commitment to sustainability, innovation and most importantly our guests. As we bring together our expertise, resources and strategy, we're focused on driving the adoption of advanced air mobility, while also establishing the safe, seamless and efficient infrastructure needed for the development of vertiports.”
Both companies are positioning themselves for a key role in supporting eVTOL operations and expanding the future of short-range urban aviation.
