Ventura Air Services, a Farmingdale, New York-based provider of private jet charter and aircraft management since 1955, has appointed Martin Colin as vice president of maintenance. Colin brings more than two decades of aviation maintenance and technical operations leadership to Ventura, strengthening the company's commitment to safety, reliability and operational excellence.

He joins Ventura from Silver Air, where he served as VP of technical operations/director of maintenance and FAA Part 119 post holder. There, he led compliance, airworthiness, conformity and CASS (Continuous Analysis and Surveillance System) initiatives while overseeing maintenance operations across an international fleet. Before joining Silver Air in 2020, Colin held key leadership roles at XOJet Aviation (and later Vista America), serving as lead maintenance controller, and later as maintenance control manager. In these roles, he was responsible for managing vendor relationships, overseeing maintenance operations, driving reliability initiatives as a key member of the CASS programme and ensuring aircraft readiness with a sharp focus on safety and compliance. His ability to streamline processes and implement proactive fleet management strategies played a pivotal role in maximising aircraft availability and minimising downtime. His track record in both hands-on maintenance leadership and strategic operational planning positions him as a strong asset to Ventura's growing team.

At Ventura, Colin will oversee all aspects of fleet maintenance and technical operations, focusing on advancing the safety, reliability and efficiency of Ventura's expanding fleet of Citation Excels and Challenger 604/605 aircraft.

“We are thrilled to welcome Martin to the Ventura team,” says Sam Wolf, CEO of Ventura Air Services. “His deep technical expertise, leadership experience and passion for safety perfectly align with Ventura's operational priorities. As we continue to scale our operations, Martin's vision and attention to detail will help ensure that Ventura remains a leader in private aviation reliability and client satisfaction.”

Colin's leadership philosophy emphasises technical precision, regulatory compliance and continuous team development, values that align with Ventura's culture of excellence.

“I am excited to join Ventura Air Services at such a pivotal time of growth,” states Martin Colin. “Ventura's reputation for safety and innovation is well known in the industry, and I look forward to working with the talented team here to further strengthen maintenance operations and ensure the highest standards of airworthiness and service for our clients.”
