The Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre (HKBAC) is launching SAF at its facility, a significant step forward in the Hong Kong International airport FBO's ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship in the aviation industry.
Effective from May 2025, HKBAC began offering SAF as part of its fuel supply services. This initiative marks a pivotal milestone in its mission to support a cleaner future, while continuing to provide the exceptional service and operational excellence that HKBAC's clients have come to expect.
SAF is an eco-friendly alternative to conventional jet fuel, made from renewable materials like used cooking oils. It offers a practical solution to lower the carbon footprint without compromising performance. Now, HKBAC customers have the option to fuel their trips with blended SAF, contributing to a more sustainable future.
As a leader in FBO services across Asia and beyond, HKBAC is integrating the fuel into its operations. This initiative not only reinforces its commitment to sustainability but also ensures that its customers continue to enjoy the seamless, high-quality service they expect.
“We are thrilled to bring sustainable aviation fuel to HKBAC, marking a pivotal moment in our journey toward greener aviation. This launch reflects our leadership in driving innovation and sustainability, while supporting our partners and clients in achieving the environmental goals. Together, we are shaping a more responsible and forward-thinking business aviation sector,” says Vivien Lau, CEO at HKBAC.
The introduction of SAF at HKBAC aligns with international efforts to decarbonise aviation and reinforces Hong Kong's role as an environmentally conscious aviation hub.
