ItalyFBO, the Italian business aviation ground support network and brand name for Delta Aerotaxi and Corporate Air Services, is unveiling a new FBO and handling services at Ancona and Bergamo airports, further strengthening its commitment to providing world-class general aviation support in Italy. These expansions result from successful tender bids at both locations.
At Ancona airport, ItalyFBO's facility is strategically situated within the departure terminal, offering a private lounge designed to elevate comfort for passengers and crew alike. Operations officially commenced in January 2025. Operating hours are from 0800 to 2000 local and extensions are possible from 0600 to 00:00. Additionally, there is ample parking available for longer stays, including a hangar of 1,800 sqm.
Bergamo airport has undergone transformative developments to cater exclusively to private aviation passengers. Previously, general aviation passengers shared facilities with commercial travellers, leading to delays during peak periods. The new General Aviation Terminal (GAT), which officially opened on 15 April 2025, addresses these challenges with dedicated facilities.
ItalyFBO's offices and VIP lounge are located on the first floor of the new GAT building, while the ground floor is occupied by the customs, immigration and security services.
A large reconfigurable apron can accommodate 14 ultra long-range aircraft such as the G700 and three wide-body business jets such as the Airbus A320. Easy access to the motorway leading to central Milan enables passengers to avoid the motorway from the main terminal building, which in peak periods can become congested. The airport operates 24 hours a day and the GAT from 0800 to 2000, with extensions available on request.
Ettore Poggi, head of marketing and customer relations, remarks: “We are thrilled to expand our ItalyFBO network with the addition of these two new FBO facilities. These locations address critical needs for long-term aircraft parking, particularly during Italy's peak season. Bergamo's position as a hub is ideal for travellers and operators preparing for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, while Ancona's proximity to the renowned Ferretti Shipyard enhances its appeal to maritime clients.
“As Italy’s leading provider of general aviation handling and services, ItalyFBO maintains the highest industry standards, holding IS-BAH Stage III accreditation as well as ISO-9001 and ISO-4001 certifications which we intend to extend to these locations.”
