Rotortrade has been certified to perform maintenance operations on Leonardo’s AW139 at its European Maintenance Center in Tallard, France. The approval, granted by EASA/OSAC, became effective in March 2025 and follows previous certifications for Airbus EC120, H125 and H145 helicopters secured during 2024. Rotortrade expects to begin servicing the AW139 in time for summer.
This latest addition supports Rotortrade’s continuing expansion of its MRO activity and strengthens its offering to operators of both Airbus and Leonardo types. The 1,800 sqm facility, operational since August 2024, can host up to eight helicopters and includes in-house completion and customisation services. It currently employs 20 technicians with further growth expected.
“The AW139 is a significant step in the growth of our MRO capabilities,” says Rotortrade CEO Philippe Lubrano. “This enables us to offer more comprehensive support to our clients and better respond to the operational needs of AW139 operators in Europe and beyond.”
Rotortrade also holds CAMO approvals for the AW109, EC135, H160, H225 and H130. Its approach continues to focus on targeted growth aligned with operator demand and long-term rotorcraft support.
