Spectrum broadens certified Airbus options with twin helicopter STCs
Spectrum Aeromed has secured FAA certification for medical interiors on H145 D-3 and Super Puma variants to better serve critical care operators.
No major aircraft modifications are required to install the H145 D-3 system, making integration easier for operators.

Spectrum Aeromed has received two supplemental type certificates from the FAA for installation of its air medical interiors on Airbus H145 D-3 and Super Puma helicopters. The approvals support operators across search and rescue, emergency medical services and critical care transport.

For the H145 D-3, Spectrum offers an advanced ambulance module featuring electrical, oxygen and pneumatic outlets, installed via a seat track mounted system requiring no major aircraft modifications. The module accommodates a Spectrum Aeromed stretcher, Ferno 9 stretcher or infant transport deck.

The Super Puma certification applies to the SA330J, AS332C1e, AS332L and EC225LP variants. It includes patient stackers, ambulance modules and power management systems. Dual installations are possible, allowing for two stackers, two modules or one of each depending on mission needs.

President Chase McCown says Spectrum remains committed to making air medical solutions more accessible. “We are always focused on developing solutions that help air medical teams do their jobs more effectively,” he says. “These new certifications allow more operators to equip their aircraft with the best solutions to stay mission-ready.”
