Boost Systems introduces next-gen aerial wash system
Featuring Isolair's tank, the system enhances aerial wash operations for power lines and wind turbines, offering greater efficiency and ease of use.
The new aerial wash system is designed for up to 2000 psi washing pressure.

Boost Systems, global leader in fully certified human external cargo systems, personnel carrying device systems and related training services, has expanded its mission equipment offerings with a next-generation aerial wash system.

“The Boost next-generation aerial wash system is engineered to optimise fast and efficient aerial wash operations with minimal operator input,” says Jeff Yarnold, VP of operations. “This allows for high-cycle wash programmes on energised power transmission lines and wind turbine blade cleaning or de-icing as needed.”

The system is designed for up to 2000 psi washing pressure, with an engineered boom that provides maximum washing control. The power-assist turret tilt makes it easy to control with a light touch, reducing operator fatigue during long jobs. The system also includes fibre optic control, a battery-powered adjustable nozzle, and push buttons at the operator controls for easy angle adjustments while airborne. It features an easy forward lock stow position for quick stowing and forward flight, in a lightweight design.

By integrating the Isolair tank and collaborating with Michael Powell, president of Isolair, Boost Systems says it has accelerated the development of this advanced solution. “Partnering with other industry experts enables us to deliver innovative solutions using the latest technologies, ensuring we meet the evolving needs of our mutual customers,” Yarnold adds.

The aerial wash system is being developed for a range of aircraft types, and will be showcased at Verticon this month at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.
