US EMS operator Med-Trans Corporation has leased five Bell 407s from Tokyo-based ITC-AeroLeasing, bringing its total helicopter fleet on lease from ITC to seven.

The five Bell 407s are configured for emergency medical services and will be deployed to Med-Trans bases in Texas, Iowa, Oklahoma and Kansas, serving the local hospital systems. All leases commenced during March 2024.

Since entering initial production in 1995, the Bell 407 has become one of the most popular models in EMS operations, known for its versatility and reliability. The lease of five additional aircraft will help further strengthen the services and capabilities of Med-Trans in the areas each aircraft will be operating.

ITC-AeroLeasing has been a proud partner to Global Medical Response (GMR), Med-Trans Corporation's parent company, since 2019 with 33 aircraft leased in the past five years.

Dmitiry Jidkov, GMR vice president of corporate finance, says: "We are pleased to further strengthen our relationship with ITC-AeroLeasing through our Med-Trans operations. In the past five years, ITC has been a trusted partner, and we look forward to partnering with it again in the future."
