Jon Thompson has over 28 years of aviation experience, starting his career in the United States Marine Corps working on CH-53E Super Stallions and obtaining his A&P. He is bringing his extensive skillset to West Star.

US MRO specialist West Star Aviation has hired Jon Thompson as Textron project manager at its Lovell Field facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Thompson has over 28 years of aviation experience, starting his career in the United States Marine Corps working on Ch-53E Super Stallions and obtaining his A&P just before his retirement from the Marines. He continued his career with L3/Vertex, working on the same helicopter. He then transitioned to a Part 135 with flyExclusive and then Jet Linx as a maintenance controller.

“Jon brings extensive experience and skills to West Star, and we are delighted he is joining our team as he continues his aviation career,” says Dan Prieu, senior manager, project management and planning.
