Gestair operates fully on SAF
The operator puts sustainable aviation fuel into all its marketed flights, and has been offsetting its emissions.
Read this story in our February 2024 printed issue.

Since the beginning of this year, Gestair has been operating all its flights with sustainable aviation fuel. The European business jet operator, which has Spanish and Maltese AOCs, has incorporated this measure into its ambitious Horizon programme, where the group is committed to moving towards more sustainable mobility.

In addition, charter customers can choose the percentage of SAF, beyond the minimum established by Gestair, on each route.

Through its Horizon programme Gestair offsets emissions on all its commercial flights and now it is reducing emissions of harmful gases into the atmosphere through the use of SAF as well.

In 2022, the Horizon programme compensated for 99 per cent of all emissions from its flights by investing in different environmental projects. Gestair signed an agreement in 2023 with energy company Repsol through which they collaborate on the analysis and formulation of proposals to promote the development and consumption of SAF, improving efficiency, carbon capture and offsetting emissions.
